In the “Upcycled Materials” series the goal was to create works in which repurposed scrap materials would be utilised.

In this adventure Nikolas came across   20th century wood flooring,  metal - remains of a construction sight ,  cordage and metal chains  in the old shipyard of the Greek island of Spetses.

These materials are something  more than a simple material they bear their own  history of use, of utility, of human craft, of time , of becoming rotten obsolete even of waiting of being used again , revived within a cycle of time. And these works become a part of this cycle , of this continuity by trying to extract newborn forms .
